Born 1986, South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.
David-Ashley Kerr is a Melbourne based artist specialising in large-format photography.
His work examines the human subject through staged landscape.
He is influenced by a romantic painterly tradition and contemporary notions of the sublime.
Kerr is a current PhD candidate at Monash University, assisted by an Australian Postgraduate Award. His research concerns body and landscape in Australia.
David-Ashley exhibits locally and internationally, and his work features in collections in Australia, UK, USA and Germany.
